I’m now feeling the context level gap between English and Japanese (or maybe it’s just Japanese shouting at me to get to JLPT N1 :P). This chapter felt really difficult to edit from the unedited translation because I’m so tempted to insert additional sentences and paragraphs just to make it flow better. It hasn’t come to that level yet since I managed to at least make this chapter flow a bit more smoothly with just reordering sentences. Despite that, I’m not so sure they still flow well so I apologize if this chapter felt hard to read.

I can’t think of a translation for Earth Science since the author hasn’t named this world so I’ll just keep it as is. Lel.

Also, someone wrote a review in novel updates that the novel was promoting pedophilia and that the translator didn’t tag that part or wrote a warning. The translator he’s referring to was probably Pengu as the reviewer set his last chapter as Chapter 22 – the chapter Tetra and Almis went to King Rosyth and Tetra asserted that she was Almis’ wife. Regardless, there’s something I would like to say as there’s still a chance it was me who he’s referring to.

First, I’m sorry for not warning you. However, there’s actually nothing to warn you about.

The protagonist died at age 20 and his soul transferred to a 12-year old’s body. He didn’t reincarnate from scratch.

He then married Tetra, probably the person in contention, when he was 18 years old (26 actual age) and when she was 16 years old. Tetra’s past the modern age of consent in several countries and US states, not to mention way past the age of marriage on the era which the story is set.

Second, even if you factored in his actual age, he’s only ten years older. I personally know of several people married with that much of an age gap and their marriages have been fruitful, wholesome, and respected. I know some societies and peoples look down on age gaps but really, it’s a whole different matter as these are between consenting adults.

I’m really sorry but this is not pedophilia. If it were anyway, I would have warned the readers, or I probably wouldn’t be translating this story.
